About your teachings during the detox we had in 2009 at Lisu Homestay:

I still practice the yoga sequence every morning you taught us (even on holiday in a hotel). Although my body has by nature grown quite stiff, the yoga helps me to be mindful of it and that is good. Initially I got a back pain during an extended meditation week in Thailand and that does not go away and I have to live with that, or choose another way of meditation. It is good to be mindful in every day life, with all daily (routine) activities, like preparing breakfast (cutting fruit, instead of my fingers ...), washing up, you name it. Even waiting for the tram or subway to arrive, is a good opportunity, to close your eyes and be in the present moment. You learned us to be aware during several kinds of meditation practices every evening in the Lisu Homestay, e.g. while listening to flute music, peeling an orange or giving a hand massage.
Regarding the diet we incorporate a lot of your wisdom every day, although we did not have a detox ever since. We try to separate drinking and eating, eat little by little during the day, to keep the digestive system active. We bought a copy of Healthy Healing from Linda Page and subsequently added some super foods to our (vegetarian) diet, like spirulina, chlorella, chia seed, goji berry and also brewers yeast. And this feels good, it is a good Middle Way and we feel healthy.
